Rebecca Repa is the Vice President of Integrated Clinical Support Services & Community Surgery, Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Her portfolio also includes responsibility for West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Perioperative and Endoscopy services at HHS, Pharmacy, the Regional Laboratory Program and Diagnostic Imaging.
Prior to joining HHS in 2010, Rebecca led over $1 billion of capital redevelopment including St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre and Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford, the Innovation Tower at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and the development of new diagnostic imaging, operating room and central processing space. In addition, Rebecca oversaw the planning of the total rebuild at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s West 5th Campus, home to the regional specialized Mental Health Services for Central South service.
Rebecca began her career at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener in 1994 as the Director of Quality and Risk Management. She subsequently joined McMaster University, Faculty of Health Sciences as the Manager of the Department of Surgery. Prior to her role in hospitals, Rebecca spent a period of time in the private healthcare sector.
A graduate of McMaster University, Rebecca has an Honours Degree in Psychology and a Masters of Business Administration from the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business. A firm believer in ongoing learning and the sharing of knowledge, Rebecca has been a member of the Business Advisory Council of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business and was an Industry Professor and Executive-in-residence for the DeGroote School as well. She has also taught Health Marketing and Health Strategy at the Schulich School of Business and the DeGroote School of Business.
A long time advocate and supporter of community volunteerism, Rebecca is currently the Chair of the YMCA of Hamilton, Burlington and Brantford; and is also involved in governance activities with the Centre for Surgical Invention and Innovation, and Bay Area Health Trust.
