The GERAS Centre, in partnership with Osteoporosis Canada and the University of Waterloo, has developed a video series on safe and effective ways to exercise for individuals with osteoporosis.
The series begins by illustrating the lives of four individuals with osteoporosis and the innovative solutions they created to keep healthy and active.
This booklet includes information on strength training, balance exercises and aerobic activity; interactive tools for getting started; tips for addressing barriers to exercise; and ways to move safely during everyday activities to avoid the risk of falls or spine fractures.
