Justin Lee initially trained as a clinical pharmacist completing his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPhm) at the University of Toronto and an accredited hospital pharmacy residency (ACPR) at the University Health Network in Toronto. He graduated from medical school and completed specialty training in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine at McMaster University. Over the course of his career, he has served in various leadership and advocacy roles including the Canadian Geriatrics Society (CGS) Resident Geriatric Interest Group (RGIG) National Executive, the Ontario Pharmacists’ Association (OPA) Board of Directors, the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) National and Ontario Branch Councils, and Ontario Pharmacy Residents’ Association (OPRA) Executive Council. He has received several regional, provincial and national awards for his research, leadership and academic achievements.

Justin is currently enrolled in the Clinician Investigator Program (CIP) accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Under the mentorship and supervision of Dr. Anne Holbrook, he is pursuing a Masters of Science (MSc) specializing in clinical epidemiology and health services research in the McMaster Health Research Methodology program.

Justin has a special interest in rational drug use in patients with multiple co-morbidities, clinical pharmacology and interprofessional education. His current research focuses on the clinical epidemiology and management of senior high cost healthcare users (HCUs) as well as the prevention and treatment of delirium in medical and surgical patient populations.
